Financial accounts, 1908-1926.

Consists of a record of monies received as rent and dividends, bills and taxes paid, salary paid for a maid and chauffeur, and expenditures for maintaining the properties. Many of the entries have notations, explaining why a person moved or left employment. Insurance and mortgage receipts have been attached to pages in the ledger. Newspaper clippings, including several obituaries, have been pasted in the front and back of the volume. A picture of a women and two children riding a horse and buggy is also pasted in the front. Records of Peter Miller's estate, for which Charles was the executor, are found on p. 240-261.

Charles Miller and his family resided on Adams Ave. in Scranton, Pa. He owned several properties, for which he collected rent from both individuals and businesses. A newspaper clipping states that Miller popularized the hotel at the corner of Penn Ave. and Spruce St. in Scranton. Fishing was his hobby. From the description of Financial accounts, 1908-1926.
